REPRESENTASI KABUDAYAN SAJRONE NOVEL SRIMPI PAMOR ANGGITANE PURWADMADI (Tintingan Antropologi Sastra)

CULTURAL REPRESENTATION IN SRIMPI PAMOR NOVEL BY PURWADMADI (Anthropological Literary Studies)

Novel Srimpi Pamor karya Purwadmadi yaitu novel berbahasa Jawa yang memiliki latar belakang cerita mengenai kebudayaan Jawa khususnya seni kebudayan tarian Srimpi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji representasi kebudayaan yang ada di dalam novel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik studi Pustaka dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis konten (content analysis). Representasi kebudayaan dalam novel Srimpi Pamor karya Purwadmadi dapat terjawab melalui tiga rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) Gambaran tata pelaksanaan pemilihan penari Srimpi dalam novel Srimpi Pamor karya Purwadmadi; (2) Gambaran seni tari Srimpi Pamor dalam novel Srimpi Pamor karya Purwadmadi; (3) Relevansi wujud tari Srimpi dalam Novel Srimpi Pamor karya Purwadmadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel Srimpi Pamor karya Purwadmadi terdapat representasi kebudayaan khususnya seni kebudayaan masyarakat Jawa yang digambarkan melalui aktivitas tokoh dalam novel. Tari Srimpi Pamor menjadi dasar yang melatar belakangi seluruh kejadian yang terdapat dalam novel Srimpi Pamor karya Purwadmadi. Tari Srimpi Pamor dalam novel Srimpi Pamor karya Purwadmadi merepresentasikan seni kebudayaan Jawa yang adhiluhung dan memiliki nilai kesakralan yang sangat tinggi. Melalui tata laksana pemilihan penari, syarat pemilihan penari, rangkaian prosesi sebelum tari srimpi dipentaskan, serta makan dan fungsi yang terkandung dalam tarian srimpi . Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan adanya relevansi antara wujud tari Srimpi yang terdapat dalam novel dan wujud tari Srimpi yang ada dalam masyarakat saat ini. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan tentang kebudayaan Jawa yang terdapat dalam sebuah karya sastra.

The Srimpi Pamor novel by Purwadmadi is a Javanese novel which has a background story about Javanese culture, especially the art of the Srimpi dance culture. This study aims to examine the cultural representations in the novel. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method and uses data collection techniques using library research and interview techniques. The data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis technique. Cultural representation in the novel Srimpi Pamor by Purwadmadi can be answered through three formulations of the problem in this study, namely (1) An overview of the procedures for selecting Srimpi dancers in the novel Srimpi Pamor by Purwadmadi; (2) The description of the Srimpi Pamor dance in the novel Srimpi Pamor by Purwadmadi; (3) The relevance of the form of the Srimpi dance in the novel Srimpi Pamor by Purwadmadi. The results of the study show that in the novel Srimpi Pamor by Purwadmadi there is a representation of culture, especially Javanese art and culture which is depicted through the activities of the characters in the novel. The Srimpi Pamor dance forms the basis for all the events in the Srimpi Pamor novel by Purwadmadi. The Srimpi Pamor dance in the novel Srimpi Pamor by Purwadmadi represents Javanese art and culture which is noble and has very high sacred values. Through the procedure for selecting dancers, the requirements for selecting dancers, the series of processions before the Srimpi dance is performed, as well as the meal and functions contained in the Srimpi dance. This research also shows the relevance between the form of the Srimpi dance found in the novel and the form of the Srimpi dance that exists in today's society. This research is expected to add insight into Javanese culture contained in a literary work.
