PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN PENILAIAN KETERAMPILAN ARGUMENTASI PADA SISWA SMP MATERI PENCEMARAN LINGKUNGAN
DEVELOPMENT OF ARGUMENTATION SKILL ASSESSMENT IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ON ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION MATERIALS
Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kelayakan instrumen penilaian keterampilan argumentasi pada siswa SMP materi pencemaran lingkungan. Dalam mengembangankan instrumen argumentasi menggunakan model Toulmin’s Argument Pattern indikator argumentasi level dua yaitu claim, data, dan warrant. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan R&D untuk menghasilkan instrumen penilaian. Model R&D yang diterapkan adalah Planning, Production, dan Evaluation (PPE) dari Richey & Klein. Penelitian ini diujicobakan pada siswa UPT SMP Negeri 27 Gresik kelas VII A,B, dan C dengan jumlah siswa 96 yang telah menerima materi pencemaran lingkungan. Hasil dari validasi logis dan validasi konstruk sepuluh soal dinyatakan valid, tingkat reliabel tinggi 0.90, dengan tingkat kesukaran sedang, dan daya pembeda soal cukup sehingga instrumen penilaian layak digunakan.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of argumentation skill assessment instruments in junior high school students on environmental pollution material. In developing argumentation instruments using Toulmin's Argument Pattern model, level two argumentation indicators are claim, data, and warrant. This research uses an R&D approach to produce assessment instruments. The R&D model applied is Planning, Production, and Evaluation (PPE) from Richey & Klein. This research was tested on students of UPT SMP Negeri 27 Gresik class VII A, B, and C with a total of 96 students who had received environmental pollution material. The results of logical validation and construct validation of ten questions were declared valid, a high reliability level of 0.90, with a medium level of difficulty, and sufficient distinguishing power of the questions so that the assessment instrument was feasible to use.
