Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menemukan struktur fiksi Banjar karya Jamal. T. Suryanata, 2) menemukan identitas etnik dalam fiksi Banjar karya Jamal T. Suryanata, 3) menemukan makna wacana budaya Banjar dalam fiksi banjar karya Jamal T. Suryanata. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian naratoetnosemiotika.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang berfokus pada analisis kaitan makna teks dengan unsur budaya yang tampak secara terperinci dan eksplisit. Sumber data penelitian ini dipilih melalui tiga fiksi berbahasa Banjar karya Jamal T. Suryanata yang berjudul Galuh (2007), Pambatangan (2017), dan Parangmaya (2018). Sementara data penelitian ini merupakan rangkaian cerita yang berwujud kata, kalimat dan paragraf dalam fiksi Banjar.
Hasil penelitian berupa 1) struktur fiksi Banjar mengandung (1) konsep representasi naratif meliputi a) tingkah laku, b) ekspresi, dan c) konteks; (2) konsep sudut pandang meliputi a) pemikiran tokoh, dan b) kronologis peristiwa; 3) konsep karakter tokoh meliputi a) sifat tokoh dan b) perilaku tokoh. 2) representasi identitas etnik Banjar mengandung (1) nilai budaya yang meliputi a) hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, b) hubungan manusia dengan alam, c) hubungan manusia dengan manusia, d) hubungan manusia dengan masyarakat, dan e) hubungan manusia dengan dirinya sendiri; (2) kearifan lokal meliputi berupa representasi naratif, sudut pandang dan karakter tokoh, 2) representasi identitas etnik berupa subjek pencerahan, sosiologi dan subjek pascamodern dan 3) wacana budaya berupa makna konotatif/denotatif, interpretasi teks dan konteks sosial. a) pengetahuan lokal, b) nilai lokal, c) keterampilan lokal, d) kepercayaan lokal, dan e) mekanisme pengambilan keputusan lokal. 3) wacana budaya mengandung (1) tanda meliputi a) konsep denotative dan b) konsep konotatif, (2) penanda meliputi a) interpretasi teks, (3) arti mitos meliputi a) pamali dan b) batatamba, (4) ideologi meliputi a) praktik wacana, dan 5) konteks sosial meliputi a) praktik sosial dan b) persepsi masyarakat.

This study aims to 1) discover the structure of Jamal's Banjar fiction. T. Suryanata, 2) finding ethnic identity in Banjar fiction by Jamal T. Suryanata, 3) finding the meaning of Banjar cultural discourse in Jamal T. Suryanata's banjar fiction. This study uses naratoethnosemiotic studies.
This study uses a qualitative approach that focuses on analyzing the relationship between the meaning of text and cultural elements that appear in detail and explicitly. The data sources for this research were selected from three Banjar-language fictions by Jamal T. Suryanata entitled Galuh (2007), Pambalgan (2017), and Parangmaya (2018). While the research data is a series of stories in the form of words, sentences and paragraphs in Banjar fiction.
The results of the research are 1) the structure of Banjar fiction contains (1) the concept of narrative representation including a) behavior, b) expression, and c) context; (2) the concept of point of view includes a) the thoughts of the characters, and b) the chronology of events; 3) the character concept includes a) character traits and b) character behavior. 2) the representation of Banjar ethnic identity contains (1) cultural values which include a) the relationship between humans and God, b) the relationship between humans and nature, c) the relationship between humans and humans, d) the relationship between humans and society, and e) the relationship between humans and themselves ; (2) local wisdom includes narrative representation, point of view and character traits, 2) ethnic identity representation in the form of enlightenment subjects, sociology and postmodern subjects and 3) cultural discourse in the form of connotative/denotative meanings, text interpretation and social context. a) local knowledge, b) local values, c) local skills, d) local beliefs, and e) local decision-making mechanisms. 3) cultural discourse contains (1) signs include a) denotative concepts and b) connotative concepts, (2) markers include a) text interpretation, (3) the meaning of myth includes a) pamali and b) batatamba, (4) ideology includes a ) discourse practice, and 5) social context including a) social practice and b) public perception.
