Etika Berkomunikasi Berbasis Plurikultural dalam Buku Ajar BIPA terbitan Kemendikbud 

Pluricultural Based Communication Ethics in the BIPA Textbook by the Ministry of Education and Culture

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bentuk, fungsi, dan distribusi etika berkomunikasi secara verbal dan nonverbal yang sesuai dengan budaya masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendalaman gagasan terkait teori etika berkomunikasi. Data penelitian yakni etika berkomunikasi secara verbal dari 18 data dan nonverbal dari enam data. Sumber data penelitian yakni buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) untuk Umum terbitan Kemendikbud sebagai pedoman pembelajaran BIPA seluruh Indonesia. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yakni metode simak dengan teknik simak bebas cakap dan teknik catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk etika berkomunikasi secara verbal menerapkan enam prinsip angon rasa, adu rasa, empan papan, sikap rendah hati, sikap hormat, dan tepa selira, sedangkan etika berkomunikasi secara nonverbal berbentuk gerak tubuh dan ekspresi senyum  yang diimplementasikan dengan kesantunan berbahasa. Terdapat empat fungsi etika berkomunikasi yakni sikap sopan santun, membangun kesan positif, menghormati orang lain, dan mempererat hubungan. Distribusi etika berkomunikasi yakni etika berkomunikasi secara verbal bentuk angon rasa dan sikap hormat 22% lebih banyak dibanding prinsip adu rasa dan tepa selira 17% dengan distribusi paling sedikit 11% pada prinsip empan papan dan sikap rendah hati. Etika berkomunikasi secara nonverbal bentuk gerak tubuh lebih banyak 67% dibanding 33% bentuk ekspresi. Distribusi fungsi etika berkomunikasi yakni sopan santun 39%, membangun kesan positif  22%, menghormati orang lain 26%, dan memperkuat hubungan 13%. Distribusi jenis etika berkomunikasi verbal lebih banyak dibanding nonverbal dan buku ajar BIPA tingkat pemula memaparkan etika berkomunikasi lebih banyak dibanding buku ajar BIPA tingkat madya dan mahir.

This research aims to analyze the form, function and distribution of verbal and nonverbal communication ethics in accordance with the culture of Indonesian society. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach by deepening ideas related to communication ethics theory. The research data is the ethics of communicating verbally from 18 data and nonverbally from six data. The research data source is the Indonesian Language textbook for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) for the public published by the Ministry of Education and Culture as a BIPA learning guide throughout Indonesia. he data collection method in this research is the listening method using free-speech listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The results of the research show that the form of verbal communication ethics applies the six principles of adu rasa, adu rasa, empan papan, humble attitude, respectful attitude, and tepa selira, while non-verbal communication ethics takes the form of gestures and smiling expressions which are implemented with language politeness. There are four functions of communication ethics, namely politeness, building a positive impression, respecting other people, and strengthening relationships. The distribution of communication ethics, namely the ethics of communicating verbally in the form of free-spiritedness and respectful attitudes, is 22% more than the principles of adu rasa and tepa selira, 17% with a distribution of at least 11% for the principles of empan papan and a humble attitude. The ethics of communicating nonverbally in the form of gestures is 67% greater than 33% in the form of expression. The distribution of communication ethics functions is politeness 39%, building a positive impression 22%, respecting other people 26%, and strengthening relationships 13%. The distribution of types of verbal communication ethics is greater than nonverbal and the beginner level BIPA textbook explains more communication ethics than the intermediate and advanced level BIPA textbooks.
