The limitation of geography learning media in SMAN
1 Krembung caused the teacher just used classic learning method, like a stagnan
lecture method, and also caused low respond of the students, around 58,3%.
Students also had low-communication skill and low-teamwork skill, and low-score
around 64,43%. By developing monopoly learning media, the aim of this research
was to know: 1) the appropriateness of monopoly
learning media, 2) Its effectiveness in enhancement of teamwork skill, 3) Its
effectiveness in enhancement of communication skill, and then 4) Its
effectiveness in upgrading the final results.
The research was categorized to be development research. Development
model researcher used was ADDIE model. The data was taken using these methods:
observation, questionnaire, and scoring. The data was analyzed by quantitative
approach for the final results, and by qualitative approach for media
validation, teamwork skill observation, and communication skill observation.
The validation result which
has 99% rate in media scoring and 93,75% rate in content scoring, showed that monopoly media was appropiate to
be used in geography learning. The other found showed that the media had impact
for increasing communication and teamwork skill, and also effected the increase
of their result in study, with classical completeness by 91,67%.
