The implementation of teaching materials is based on the Learning Flow (ATP) contained in the Learning Outcomes, with reference to the Pancasila student profile. Students are emphasized to think critically and independently in managing their learning according to the independent curriculum.
The purpose of this study is to obtain information about the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the development of problem-based teaching materials. The results of interviews and supported by the needs assessment sheet with TITL teachers at SMKN 1 Driyorejo, indicate several problems, namely that learning is still centered on the teacher, and students' learning resources are only from notebooks.
Due to these factors, student learning outcomes, especially in the subject of electric motor installation, have not been achieved optimally. By developing teaching materials that focus on students in the form of problem-based learning practical modules, it is hoped that it can be a solution to improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.
This research is a development research or Research & Development carried out with 4 steps, namely; 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, and 4) Disseminate. This study uses a one-shot case study trial design. The subjects of this study were 30 students of grade XI TITL 1 at SMKN 1 Driyorejo.
The results showed that the practical module had a validity of 3.66, with a practicality rating of 89.25 based on student responses. Furthermore, effectiveness, based on student learning outcomes, was 84.93 in the cognitive domain, 89.40 in the psychomotor domain, and 94.00 in the affective domain. Based on these results, this study produces a practical module suitable for use in learning.
