Jump T o Box and Double Leg Hop Progression are one of the exercises used to increase jump height. In this research Jump T o Box and Double Leg Hop Progression exercises were used to increase leg power and leg muscle strength. The
formulation of the problem in this research was to find out what percentage of the effect of Jump T o Box and Double Leg Hop Progression exercises on increasing leg power and leg muscle strength on the
basketball team.
The research
method used is quantitative experiments. The target of the research was the
athletes of the male basketball extracurricular team at SMK Negeri 3
Probolinggo aged 15 to 18 years, amounting to 20 people and divided into 2
groups using pairing ordinal. Data collection techniques used the Jump MD and
Leg Dynamometer tests.
The results of
the research using statistical calculations t Test Paired Sample t-Test , it is known that the Jump To Box exercise group has the expected effect of increasing
leg power due to the results of Sig. (2-tailed) 0,0 05 <α = 0,05 while limb muscle strength results from
Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 3 <α = 0,05 and the Double Leg Hop Progession exercise group has an influence on the
increase in leg power due to the results of Sig. (2-tailed) 0,0 18 <α = 0,05 while the leg muscle strength
results from Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 5 <α = 0,05. It can be
concluded that Jump To Box and Double Leg Hop Progression exercises
have a significant influence on increasing leg power and leg muscle strength.
Data on increasing the leg power of the group Jump To Box training has a percentage of 14,7 % while leg muscle strength has a
percentage of 28,7 % and for increased leg power the
exercise group Double Leg Hop Progression
had a percentage of 8,8 % while leg muscle strength had a
percentage of 60,1 %.
