GAMBARAN RESILIENSI PADA PEREMPUAN YANG MENDERITA KANKER PAYUDARA
DESCRIPTION OF RESILIENCE IN WOMEN WITH BREAST CANCER
The difficult problems of psychological, social and physical impacts faced by women with breast cancer along with other additional problems that occur in the family will make them feel even more depressed and hampered in completing developmental tasks at each age. So that every woman needs resilience so that they are able to adapt to life and continue their daily lives according to their respective duties. It is hoped that this research can provide benefits for further researchers as a reference when conducting research with the same theme, for women with other breast cancer being able to build resilience by cultivating aspects and resources that encourage the creation of resilience This study aims to understand the process of resilience built by women with breast cancer to be able to continue living. This study involved two subjects, namely subjects E and Y with breast cancer and the problem of being abandoned by their husbands because of infidelity and death. Case study as a method in this qualitative research. Data were collected through interviews and observations and processed using thematic analysis. Triangulation of the suitability of the data with the theory is part of the validity and reliability of the study. According to the results of the data that has been analyzed, it proves that the two subjects of different ages develop the same aspects of resilience but are slightly different in internal protective factors in the form of religious abilities, knowledge, and emotional regulation which are more common in subject Y than subject E. Both subjects build resilience through aspects of resilience. emotion regulation, impulse control, optimism, causal analysis, empathy, self-efficacy and achieving aspects of achievement in the form of treatment, healing, reducing negative emotions and being able to continue her role as a mother who is able to live and develop independently even without the support of her husband.
