Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pola pembinaan, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor pendukung dan pengjambat serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembinaan hoki di sekolah. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu atlet atau anggota ekstrakurikuler hoki, pelatih hoki dan penanggungjawab kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMP Muhammadiyah II Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan observasi, kuesioner dan dokumentasi yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara spesifik secara kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu Pola pembinaan hoki di SMP Muhammadiyah II Surabaya berjalan baik dengan pelatih kompeten dan program terstruktur meliputi teknik, strategi, fisik, dan mental. Meski sarana masih terbatas, fasilitas yang ada mendukung pembinaan, didukung partisipasi kompetisi lokal dan regional. Keberhasilan dipengaruhi kualitas pelatih, dukungan sekolah, siswa, orang tua, serta kesempatan berkompetisi. Tantangan utama meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas, kompetisi, dan jumlah pelatih. Peningkatan sarana, kompetisi, dan kualitas pelatih diharapkan mengoptimalkan pembinaan hoki
This study aims to describe to coaching pattern, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and provide recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of hockey coaching in the school. This research employs a qualitative approach. The sample consists of hockey athletes or extracurricular members, hockey coaches, and extracurricular activity coordinators at SMP Muhammadiyah II Surabaya. Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires, and documentation, which are then analyzed qualitatively in detail. The results indicate that the hockey coaching pattern at SMP Muhammadiyah II Surabaya is well-organized, with competent coaches and structured programs covering techniques, strategies, physical, and mental training. Although facilities remain limited, the existing resources support the coaching process, further bolstered by participation in local and regional competitions. Success is influenced by the quality of coaches, support from the school, students, parents, and competition opportunities. The main challenges include limited facilities, competitions, and the number of coaches. Improving facilities, increasing competition opportunities, and enhancing the quality of coaches are expected to optimize hockey coaching outcomes.
