PENGEMBANGAN FLIPBOOK PENANGANAN PENCEMARAN LINGKUNGAN BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL SURABAYA UNTUK MENUMBUHKAN ETNOKONSERVASI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS X SMA
DEVELOPMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION HANDLING FLIPBOOK BASED ON SURABAYA LOCAL WISDOM TO TRAIN ETHNOCONSERVATION OF CLASS 10TH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Salah satu upaya penanganan pencemaran lingkungan dengan menggali potensi alam dan tradisi di masyarakat lokal adalah dengan pendidikan etnokonservasi. Urgensi etnokonservasi dalam materi pencemaran lingkungan yaitu selain melestarikan budaya juga dapat membentuk individu yang memiliki kesadaran, kepekaan, dan pemahamanan yang tinggi terhadap optimalisasi potensi lokal dan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan pencemaran lingkungan berbasis kajian ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan flipbook penanganan pencemaran lingkungan berbasis kearifan lokal Surabaya untuk menumbuhkan etnokonservasi peserta didik kelas X SMA yang layak secara teoritis dan empiris, (2) mendeskripsikan kelayak teoritis berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli, dan (3) mendeskripsikan kelayakan empiris berdasarkan hasil ketercapaian etnokonservasi, respon peserta didik, dan uji keterbacaan.
One of the efforts to handle environmental pollution by exploring the potential of nature and traditions in local communities is ethnoconservation education. The urgency of ethnoconservation in environmental pollution material is that in addition to preserving culture, it can also form individuals who have high awareness, sensitivity, and understanding of the optimization of local potential and community knowledge in solving environmental pollution problems based on scientific studies. This research aims to (1) produce a flipbook of handling environmental pollution based on Surabaya local wisdom to foster ethnoconservation of class 10th high school students that is theoretically and empirically feasible, (2) describe the theoretical feasibility based on the results of expert validation, and (3) describe empirical feasibility based on the results of ethnoconservation achievement, student responses, and readability tests.
This type of research is Research and Development with the ADDIE model from Branch's theory which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research target was conducted on 30 students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 16 Surabaya. The data collection techniques used include (1) expert validation, (2) ethnoconservation achievement test, (3) questionnaire, and (4) readability test. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The theoretical feasibility was reviewed from the results of expert validation, while the empirical feasibility was reviewed from the students' ethnoconservation achievement, students' responses, and readability test. In line with the objectives, the results showed that the PELITA flipbook for handling environmental pollution based on Surabaya local wisdom to foster ethnoconservation of class 10th high school students was theoretically and empirically feasible. Theoretical feasibility obtained a validity score of 98% and a very good category while empirical feasibility obtained a result of 84% with details of the average pretest-posttest N-Gain value of 0.56 with moderate criteria, a positive response of 92% with very feasible criteria, student activity in each aspect of the activity obtained high results, which ranged from 85% - 97%, students' ethnoconservation attitudes were 80% and good criteria, and the results of the readability test were at level 10. Hence, the PELITA flipbook was theoretically and empirically feasible so that it can be used in learning handling environmental pollution based on Surabaya's local wisdom to foster students' ethnoconservation.
