This article
develops the medium of learning Simple Smart Hands (TPS) on the process of
calculating multiplication operations in grade III elementary school is called
simple because it uses simple and easy-to-obtain materials such as paper,
sterofoam, all teachers can make TPS learning media in addition to effective
also efficient time and money, to meet the needs of students in teaching and
learning activities, as well as overcome problems about multiplication
operation, TPS learning media is created
with the aim of: (1) know the manufacturing process of the development of TPS learning media
which was previously only the jarimatic method (2) Knowing the feasibility of
TPS learning media, and (3) Knowing the student's response to TPS learning
media. This research uses the ADDIE development model in which there are 5
stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Getting the best
results through the validation test process and trials obtained material
validation results and media validation with a percentage of material
validation results of 80% while media validation with a percentage of 100%
grade, and trials conducted on grade III students were obtained with an average
result of 91.33% from the average trial of groups and
individuals with subjects of 26 students in a small random group of 6 students
from MI Nurul Huda, 20 students from SDN Tembok Dukuh III class III each class
of 10 students. The results of research
based on validation and trial processes can be concluded that, simple smart
hands learning media has been feasible and effective for use in elementary
student learning, especially in grade III, getting interesting responses, easy
to understand, use, and made.
