Peran Orang Tua Yang Bekerja Sebagai Guru Dalam Pendampingan Proses Belajar Anak Selama Pandemi
The Role of Parents Working as Teachers in Assisting Children's Learning Process During the Pandemic
Tulisan ini membahas peran orang tua yang bekerja sebagai guru selama pandemi Covid-19. Pemerintah menerapkan belajar daring bagi semua sekolah, akibatnya mereka memiliki tanggung jawab lebih berat dalam mendampingi belajar anak dirumah dan mengajar murid di sekolah. Peran orang tua ini dianalisis menggunakan perspektif teori dari Alfred Schutz yakni tindakan manusia berdasarkan Because of Motive dan In Order to Motive. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui peran, keterlibatan, dan pembagian waktu orang tua yang bekerja sebagai guru selama pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Lokasi penelitian di SD Lab Ketintang Surabaya. Subyek penelitian berasal dari Guru SD Lab yang memiliki anak usia SD. Hasil data penelitian ini memaparkan bahwa terdapat dua tindakan, pertama Because of Motive yakni adanya pengalaman masa lalu orang tua mengenai pendampingan belajar yang sebelumnya tidak memenuhi kebutuhan anak kemudian berusaha terlibat selama proses belajar daring berlangsung. Kedua, In Order to Motive yakni keterlibatan dan pembagian waktu orang tua dalam pendampingan proses belajar anak selama pandemi menjadi tujuan orang tua dalam membangun kedekatan dengan anak agar mengenal anak secara lebih baik dan membangun sistem belajar sesuai karakter anak agar perkembangan pendidikan anak tidak hanya terjadi secara kuantitas (nilai), tetapi juga kualitas (karakter).

This article discusses the role of parents who work as teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The government implements online learning for all schools, as a result they have a heavier responsibility in accompanying children's learning at home and teaching students at school. The role of parents is analyzed using the theoretical perspective of Alfred Schutz, namely human action based on Because of Motive and In Order to Motive. The purpose of this study was to analyze and find out the role, involvement, and division of time of parents working as teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research location is at SD Lab Ketintang Surabaya. The research subjects came from SD Lab teachers who have elementary school age children. The results of this research data explained that there were two actions, namely first, Because of Motive the past experience of parents regarding learning assistance which previously did not meet the needs of children then trying to be involved during the online learning process. Second, In Order to Motive the involvement and sharing of parents' time in accompanying children's learning processes during a pandemic is the goal of parents in building closeness with children so that they know children better and build a learning system according to children's characters so that children's educational development does not only occur automatically. quantity (value), but also quality (character).
