Recently the technology has developed rapidly, every
second a new technology may appear with its advantages and disadvantages. This
makes technology for educational purpose developed rapidly, hope that with this
development it can have a good impact on media for educational purpose.
Educational technology is a media learning tool that can help to solve the
problem in learning. One of the technologies that are developed for learning is
web-based media. This research aims to find out the application of web-based
media learning in series of car air conditioning systems in the Automotive
Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, State University of
Surabaya , f urthermore with the response by college students of
the State University of Surabaya towards the application of web-based media
learning in series of car air conditioning systems in the Automotive Mechanical
Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Surabaya.
This
research design is using the 4D Research Method, namely, Define, Design,
Development, and Dissemination developed by Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, and
Melvyn I. Semmel (1974: 5) in Trianto (2014). The researcher uses the 4D model
since it is easier to be applied, in addition, this development also has systematic
stages that the researcher believes this development model is very suitable to
be used.
Furthermore,
the researchers perform instrument validation to obtain instruments that are
valid and fit for use. The validation results of the material instrument were
85% included in the "very valid" criteria; The results of validation
of media instruments were 85% included in the criteria "very valid"
and the results of validation of students' instruments were 82% included in the
"very valid" criteria. Furthermore, the researcher validated the
research material and media. The results of material validation are 84%
included in the criteria "very feasible" and the results of media
validation are 82% included in the criteria "very feasible".
Furthermore, conducting field trials with 35 student respondents and the
results obtained were 82% included in the "very good" criteria. The
last is data collection/student response with 19 student respondents and the
results obtained are 85% included in the "very good" criteria.
