The Effect of Compensation on Employee Job Satisfaction Through Work Motivation as Intervening Variable in Goodfellas Barbershop Employee

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan menguji pengaruh kompensasi terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan melalui motivasi kerja sebagai variabel intervening pada karyawan Goodfellas Barbershop (Barberman). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sampling jenuh dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 30 orang sebagai karyawan Goodfellas barbershop. pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Analisis statistik dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Partial Least Squares (PLS) dengan aplikasi software smartPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa semua hipotesis dalam penelitian ini berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Namun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompensasi terhadap kepuasan kerja memiliki pengaruh langsung yang lebih besar daripada pengaruh tidak langsung melalui motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini dapat membantu perusahaan yang memiliki masalah dengan beberapa karyawan yang tidak puas dengan sistem promosi untuk rekan kerjanya. Menghasilkan skor kemajuan karir yang lebih tinggi dalam motivasi kerja yang layak. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti menyarankan kepada pimpinan untuk memperhatikan secara komprehensif kompensasi dan motivasi karyawan sehingga dapat meningkatkan dorongan untuk karir yang lebih tinggi, evaluasi bulanan agar barberman dapat mengungkapkan pendapat dan perasaannya di tempat kerja yang berguna untuk mebantu barberman untuk bekerja dengan nyaman, dan membuat peraturan mengenai sistem promosi berdasarkan kemampuan atau hasil yang secara umum memenuhi persyaratan pelayanan yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan.

The purpose of this study was to analyze and examine the effect of compensation on employee job satisfaction through work motivation as an intervening variable for Goodfellas Barbershop (Barberman) employees. This study uses quantitative methods and the sampling technique used in this study is saturated sampling with a total of 30 respondents as employees of Goodfellas barbershop. data collection using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Statistical analysis in this study used Partial Least Squares (PLS) with smartPLS 3.0 software application. The results of this study explain that all hypotheses in this study have a positive and significant effect. However, the results of the study indicate that compensation on job satisfaction has a greater direct effect than the indirect effect through work motivation as a mediating variable. This research can help companies that have problems with some employees who are not satisfied with the promotion system for their coworkers. Leads to higher career advancement scores in decent work motivation. Based on this, the researcher advises the leadership to pay comprehensive attention to employee compensation and motivation so that it can increase the drive for a higher career, monthly evaluations so that barbermans can express their opinions and feelings at work which are useful for helping barbermans to work comfortably, and make regulations regarding the promotion system based on ability or results that generally meet the service requirements set by the company.
