Kurangnya kinerja guru dapat dilihat pada rapot pendidikan pada capaian kualitas guru dalam pembelajaran. Di mana SMPN di kabupaten Magetan rata-rata nilainya dibawah 75. Pengaruh kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja guru memberikan sumbangan efektif terhadap kinerja guru.
Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) Menganalisis pengaruh kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru. 2) Menganalisis pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru. 3) Menganalisis pengaruh kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian 104 dengan sampel 10 orang. Pengumpulan data dengan angket. Teknik analisis data dengan deskripsi data, uji asumsi klasik meliputi uji normalitas, uji heterokedastiditas, uji multikolinieritas dan uji linieritas. Pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t dan uji-f.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) Kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. 2) Motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. 3) Kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah (X1) dan motivasi kerja (X2) secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru (Y).
Simpulan penelitian ini adalah kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru dilihat dari (uji-f) sebesar 73,570 dengan signifikasi 0.000. Saran kepada kepala sekolah adalah meningkatkan kemampuan manajerialnya dengan mengikuti pelatihan kepemimpinan dan manajemen pendidikan. Untuk guru agar meningkatkan motivasi kerja dengan pengembang diri melalui pelatihan profesional, seminar, dan workshop yang relevan dengan tugasnya. Penelitian dapat menambah wawasan khususnya kepala sekolah tentang pentingnya kemampuan manajerial dan motivasi kerja bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas kinerjanya.

The lack of teacher performance can be seen in the education report on the achievement of teacher quality in learning. SMPN in the Magetan district has an average score below 75. The influence of the principal's managerial ability and teacher work motivation provides an effective contribution to teacher performance.
In general, this research aims to: 1) Analyze the influence of principal's managerial ability on teacher performance. 2) Analyze the influence of work motivation on teacher performance. 3) Analyze the influence of principal managerial ability and work motivation simultaneously on teacher performance.
The method in the study uses a quantitative approach and a correlational research type. The research population is 104 with a sample of 10 people. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires. Data analysis techniques with data descriptions, classic assumption tests include normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multicollinearity tests, and linearity tests. Hypothesis testing with t-tests and f-tests.
The results of this study are: 1) The principal's managerial ability has a significant effect on teacher performance. 2) Work motivation has a significant effect on teacher performance. 3) The principal's managerial ability (X1) and work motivation (X2) have a significant effect on teacher performance (Y).
The conclusion of this study is that the principal's managerial ability and work motivation have an influence on teacher performance (f-test of 73.570 with a significance of 0.000). Principals are suggested to improve their managerial skills by attending leadership and educational management training. Teachers are expected to improve their work motivation by developing themselves through professional training, seminars, and workshops that are relevant to their duties.
