Rancangkapti Dance is a dance
originating from Gresik Regency created by Lusiyanah in 2016 and first
performed at the East Java Dance Works Festival.
The purpose of this study is to answer
the formulation of the problem, namely how the form of Rancangkapti dance
choreography by Lusiyanah in Gresik Regency. The theory used in this study is
the theory of choreography forms which contains dance elements and also the
principles of dance forms.
The results of research and discussion
explain that in the form of choreography Rancangkpati Dance is not just an
element of dance elements which include themes, titles, synopsis, movements,
floor patterns, makeup, fashion, and accompaniment, but there are several
factors that must be considered by choreographers in order to get a dance work
that meets the aesthetic requirements, namely the nine principles of art form
consisting of unity, variety, repetition, contrast, transition, sequence,
climax, balance, and harmony.
