The archive and correspondence
information system in Jerukseger village is an important component in document
management and storage. However, searching for specific data in the information
system often becomes challenging due to the mismatch between user input
keywords and the data in the system. To address this issue, the use of an
effective and efficient search algorithm is required.
One algorithm that can be
utilized is the Damerau-Levenshtein Distance algorithm. This algorithm allows
data search by considering character changes made by the user, such as
deletion, insertion, substitution, or transposition of characters. By
implementing this algorithm, it is expected that the archive and correspondence
information system in Jerukseger village can provide more accurate and relevant
search results.
This research aims to implement
the Damerau-Levenshtein Distance algorithm in the data search feature of the
archive and correspondence information system in Jerukseger village. The
research will also reference the ISO 15489 – 1 : 2016 standard as a guideline
for archive and correspondence management.
The methodology used in this
research is the waterfall method, which consists of analysis, design,
implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. In the analysis stage, an
analysis of the archive and correspondence information system in Jerukseger
village will be conducted, including its main functions and relevant ISO
standards. In the design stage, a web-based system design will be created,
including the data search feature using the Damerau-Levenshtein Distance
algorithm. In the implementation stage, the system will be implemented using
the Laravel framework with PHP language. In the testing stage, the system will
be tested to ensure the performance and accuracy of the search algorithm.
Finally, in the maintenance stage, the system will be maintained and improved
if any issues or shortcomings are found.
The results of this research
are expected to contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of data search
in the archive and correspondence information system in Jerukseger village.
With the implementation of the Damerau-Levenshtein Distance algorithm, it is
hoped that users can easily and quickly find the data they are looking for,
while optimizing archive and correspondence management in accordance with the
applicable ISO standards.
