AND CREATIVE PROCESSES OF REYOG BRAWIJAYA UNIVERSITY BRAWIJAYA MALANG IN
PREPARING PARTICIPATION TO FOLLOW THE NATIONAL FESTIVAL REOG PONOROGO IN 2019

Abstract
Brawijaya Univesity Malang is one of
university that has not arts department, but has achievement as the constant
winner of Reog Ponorogo national exhibition from 2017 until 2019 . There were two research problems in
this research, first was how did the management of Reyog Brawijaya of Brawijaya
University in preparing participation of Reog Ponorogo national exhibition?
Second, how the creative process of Reyog Brawijaya of Brawijaya University in
preparing participation of Reog Ponorogo national exhibition?. The theories of
this research were management’s theory from Stonner, and creative process’s
theory from Elfeldt
and Imam Musbikin. The research method of this research was qualitative
research design. The data collection techniques had been conducted through
field observation, interviews with some people that filled participation roles
of Reyog Brawijaya from
Malang Brawijaya University. The result of this research showed that
first, in terms of participation preparation in FRNP 2019 , Reyog Brawijaya of Malang Brawijaya University created committee at firstly stage, in
the committee’s activity people were planning of how to manage the human
resources effectively and efficiency in order to achieve the targeted aims such
as studio activities processing, starting from vice program election,
choreographer and composer election, candidates selection, quarantine and
practice schedules. The second was creative process that has been done by Reyog
Brawijaya of Malang Brawijaya University which were injection or body exercises
one day before the scheduled practice activities, repeating the learning
materials three times without taking a break, used to do movements that focus
on creating wiraga, wirama and wirasa.
