MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA AWAL MELALUI MEDIA KARTU KATA BERGAMBAR PADA ANAK TK B DI TK EKA REMAJA
IMPROVING EARLY READING ABILITIES THROUGH PICTURE WORD CARDS IN KINDERGARTEN B CHILDREN AT EKA REMAJA KINDERGARTEN
Penelitian ini bertujuan guna mengetahui apakah anak kelompok B usia 5-6 tahun di TK Eka Remaja Surabaya mengalami kenaikan kebisaan membaca awal dalam mengenal huruf. sejumlah 15 siswa menjadi subjek penelitian, dan metodologi penelitian yang dipakai ialah PTK yang meliputi dokumentasi gambar dan prosedur analisis observasi. "Bagaimana mengembangkan kebisaan membaca awal atas kartu kata bergambar pada anak TK B di TK Eka Remaja Surabaya" merupakan rumusan masalah penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sejumlah dua kali atas tiga kali pertemuan pada setiap siklusnya. aktivitas anak yang meliputi kenaikan kebisaan mengenal huruf atas kartu kata bergambar guna memahami dan menghayati huruf 1-15, serta analisis data atas teknik persentase menjadi pokok bahasan atas siklus I dan Siklus II.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terjadi kenaikan: aktivitas anak siklus I mencapai 50% dan nilai pengenalan huruf 67%, yang berarti belum mencapai 85%. Aktivitas anak atas siklus II mencapai 85%, dan pengenalan serta hafalan huruf meningkat menjadi 86%, yang memperlihatkan bahwasanya mereka sudah mencapai 85%. Hal ini memperlihatkan bagaimana siswa TK B di TK Eka Remaja Surabaya dapat memperatas manfaat dari penggunaan kartu kata bergambar guna meningkatkan keterampilan pengenalan huruf mereka.

This study sought to ascertain if children in group B, ages 5 to 6, at Eka Remaja Kindergarten Surabaya, had improved their early reading skills in letter recognition. 15 students served as the research subjects for the study, and the research methodology employed was classroom action research (CAR), which included picture documentation and observation analytic procedures. "How to develop early reading abilities with image word cards in children of Kindergarten B at Eka Remaja Kindergarten Surabaya" is the issue statement for this study. Two rounds of this study were carried out, with three meetings in each cycle. Children's activities including improving letter recognition skills with image word cards to comprehend and understand letters 1–15, as well as data analysis using the percentage technique, were the topics of discussion in Cycle I and Cycle II.
According to the study's findings, there was an increase: cycle I children's activities reached 50%, and their letter recognition score was 67%, indicating that they had not yet achieved 85%. Children's activities in Cycle II reached 85%, and their recognition and memorization of letters rose to 86%, indicating that they had achieved 85%. This demonstrates how Kindergarten B students at Eka Remaja Kindergarten in Surabaya may benefit from using image word cards to enhance their letter recognition skills.
