STUDI FENOMENOLOGI UPAYA GURU BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING DALAM MEMOTIVASI SISWA DI SMK BERBASIS PESANTREN
PHENOMENOLOGICAL STUDY OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING TEACHERS' EFFORTS IN MOTIVATING STUDENTS IN Islamic Boarding School-BASED VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS

Guru BK merupakan guru yang bertugas memberikan bimbingan dan konseling pada peserta didik dalam pengembangan dan mengatasi persoalan, sedangkan motivasi belajar menjadi salah satu hal urgen dalam proses pembelajaran. Fokus dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) Karakter ideal konselor atau guru BK, (2) Proses bimbingan dan konseling dan (3) Karakter peserta didik SMK berbasis pesantren. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis fenomenologi dengan sumber data yang diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Tahapan yang digunakan dalam fenomenologi ini yaitu (1) Deskripsi fenomenologis, (2) Reduksi Fenomenologis dan (3) Interpretasi. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1) Karakter guru BK di SMK berbasis pesantren memiliki taqwa dan ikhlas, Konsisten dan disiplin serta humanis, (2) Guru BK memotivasi peserta didik dengan nilai-nilai keagamaan diseimbangkan dengan background pesantren dan (3) Peserta didik SMK berbasis pesantren lebih tertarik kepada pelajaran yang bersifat praktek dari pada hanya sebatas teori. Saran dari peneliti yaitu pembangunan kerja sama guru BK dengan guru SMK yang lain dan pihak pesantren harus efektif dan maksimal karena keterbatasan waktu yang dimiliki.

A guidance and counseling teacher is a teacher whose job is to provide guidance and counseling to students in developing and overcoming problems, while learning motivation is one of the urgent things in the learning process. The focus of this research is (1) The ideal character of a counselor or guidance counselor, (2) The guidance and counseling process and (3) The character of Islamic boarding school-based vocational school students. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological type with data sources obtained from interviews, observation and documentation. The stages used in phenomenology are (1) phenomenological description, (2) phenomenological reduction and (3) interpretation. The results of this research are (1) The character of guidance and counseling teachers in Islamic boarding school-based vocational schools is devout and sincere, consistent and disciplined as well as humanist, (2) Guidance and counseling teachers motivate students with religious values balanced with the Islamic boarding school background and (3) Islamic boarding school-based students Islamic boarding schools are more interested in practical lessons rather than just theory. Suggestions from researchers are that the development of collaboration between guidance and counseling teachers with other vocational school teachers and Islamic boarding schools must be effective and maximal due to the limited time they have.
