PERANCANGAN KOMUNIKASI VISUAL COVER SINGLE TERBARU BAND NORTHREAST “MOONLIGHT”

VISUAL COMMUNICATION DESIGN COVER OF NORTHREAST BAND'S LATEST SINGLE "MOONLIGHT"

Musik dan desain grafis memiliki hubungan yang erat, mereka merupakan satu kesatuan yang saling melengkapi dan dapat menerjemahkan satu sama lain. Perancangan ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya kebutuhan komunikasi visual untuk single terbaru dari band Northeast yang berjudul Moonlight. Northeast merupakan band beraliran Pop Punk asal Kota Bojonegoro yang terbentuk pada tahun 2020. Dibutuhkannya perancangan komunikasi visual sebagai upaya memperkenalkan, menyampaikan pesan dan membentuk citra untuk single Moonlight. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dari proses pengumpulan data primer yang diperoleh dari wawancara secara langsung dengan salah satu personel atu pendiri band Northeast serta data sekunder dari internet. Kemudian untuk proses analisis data menggunakan metode analisis 5W+1H agar dapat membantu proses perancangan atau visualisasi karya desain cover single Moonlight. Divisualisasikan dalam bentuk ilustrasi dengan menggunakan gaya Pop Art, sehingga diharapkan dapat menyampaikan pesan dan membentuk citra dari lagu Moonlight dengan tema lagunya yang menceritakan tentang percintaan anak muda dengan gaya musik Pop Punk.

Music and graphic design have a close relationship, they are a single entity that complements each other and can translate each other. This design was motivated by the need for visual communication for the latest single from the Northeast band entitled Moonlight. Northeast is a Pop Punk band from Bojonegoro City that formed in 2020. The need for visual communication design as an effort to introduce, convey messages and form an image for the single Moonlight. Using descriptive qualitative research methods from the process of collecting primary data obtained from direct interviews with one of the personnel or founders of the Northeast band as well as secondary data from the internet. Then for the data analysis process using the 5W + 1H analysis method in order to help the process of designing or visualizing the work of the Moonlight single cover design. Visualized in the form of illustrations using the Pop Art style, so it is expected to convey the message and form an image of the song Moonlight with the theme of the song which tells about the romance of young people with the style of Pop Punk music.
