THE EFFECT OF ANIMATED TOILETING TUTORIAL VIDEOS ON REDUCE THE USE OF DIAPERS IN AUTISTIC STUDENTS
Ketergantungan anak autis terhadap pampers masih tinggi dan dapat menghambat perkembangan kemandirian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan video animasi terhadap keterampilan toileting pada anak autis di TK Aisyiyah 19 Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Single Subject Research (SSR) desain A-B. Subjek penelitian adalah satu anak autis yang mengalami kesulitan dalam keterampilan toileting. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung menggunakan lembar pencatatan frekuensi dan durasi penggunaan pampers. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam 11 sesi, terdiri dari 3 sesi fase baseline (A1) dan 8 sesi fase intervensi (B). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada fase baseline (A1) rata-rata frekuensi penggunaan pampers adalah 15,33 kali per sesi dengan durasi rata-rata 41,67 menit, sedangkan pada fase intervensi (B) menurun menjadi 11,13 kali per sesi dengan durasi rata-rata 35,38 menit. Tingkat kestabilan data pada fase intervensi mencapai 87,5% dengan kecenderungan arah menurun. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan video animasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan toileting dan mengurangi ketergantungan pampers pada anak autis.

The high dependency of children with autism on pampers can hinder the development of independence. This study aims to determine the effect of using animated videos on toileting skills in children with autism at TK Aisyiyah 19 Surabaya. This research employed a quantitative approach using the Single Subject Research (SSR) method with an A-B design. The research subject was one child with autism who had difficulties in toileting skills. Data were collected through direct observation using a frequency and duration recording sheet for pampers use. The study was conducted over 11 sessions, consisting of 3 baseline (A1) sessions and 8 intervention (B) sessions. The results showed that in the baseline phase (A1), the average frequency of pampers use was 15.33 times per session with an average duration of 41.67 minutes, while in the intervention phase (B) it decreased to 11.13 times per session with an average duration of 35.38 minutes. The data stability level in the intervention phase reached 87.5% with a decreasing trend. The conclusion of this study is that animated videos are proven effective in improving toileting skills and reducing pampers dependency among children with autism.
