New Habituation of the Sedekah Bumi Tradition During the Pandemic and Post-Covid-19 Pandemic in Punden, Putat Gede Village, Surabaya City
Sedekah bumi menjadi salah satu tradisi turun-temurun yang masih dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Putat Gede dari tahun ke tahun. Tradisi sedekah bumi merupakan tradisi tolak bala dan bentuk rasa syukur atas rezeki yang melimpah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tradisi sedekah bumi yang masih dipertahankan oleh masyarakat hingga saat ini, mengidentifikasi habitus baru yang ada pada pelaksanaan tradisi sedekah bumi di masa pandemi dan pasca pandemi covid-19, menganalisis prosesi sedekah bumi pada masa pandemi dan pasca pandemi covid19, serta mengidentifikasi instrumen simbol dalam tradisi sedekah bumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnometodologi. Data dalam penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan yakni habitus milik Pierre Bourdieu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya covid-19 menghambat pelaksanaan tradisi sedekah bumi di Punden Putat Gede. Prosesi tradisi sempat terhenti ditahun pertama pandemi, setelah itu pada tahun kedua kembali dilaksanakan. Prosesi tradisi ditengah pandemi covid-19 ini memunculkan habituasi baru dalam pelaksanaannya. Prosesi yang dilaksanakan hanya bagian inti dan yang dinilai mempunyai nilai kesakralan. Selain itu, pihak kelurahan juga hanya mengizinkan tradisi ini dilaksanakan selama beberapa jam dengan protokol kesehatan yang sangat ketat. Tradisi sedekah bumi kembali dilaksanakan seperti semula ketika pada masa pasca pandemi. Hal ini ditandai dengan adanya pencabutan pemberlakuan pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat yang bersifat kerumunan.

The Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony is one of the traditions that has been passed down from generation to generation which is still carried out by the Putat Gede people from year to year. The Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony is a tradition to avert evil and a form of gratitude for abundant sustenance. This study aims to identify The Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony traditions that are still maintained by the community today, identify new habituation that exist in the implementation of The Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony traditions during the pandemic and postpandemic Covid-19, analyze The Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony procession during the pandemic and post-pandemic Covid-19, as well as identifying symbolic instruments in The Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony tradition. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnomethodological approach. The data in the research were obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The theory used is that of Pierre Bourdieu's habitus. The results of the study show that the tradition of The Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony is a form of ancestral cultural heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation. This tradition is a form of symbolic ritual performed to honor the ancestors who have "mbabat alas" in the Putat Gede area. The pandemic of the Covid-19 that has spread throughout the world has resulted in government regulations to avoid crowd activities. With this outbreak, it has an impact on the implementation of in The Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony tradition in punden. The Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony procession during the Covid-19 pandemic was delayed due to a ban from the government. Local people who are still strong in their culture are now requesting that this tradition of giving back to the earth be carried out in the midst of the co-19 pandemic. The procession that is carried out is only the main part and which is considered to have sacred value. Besides that, the village administration also only allows this tradition to be carried out for a few hours with very strict health protocols. the Sedekah Bumi Ritual Ceremony tradition was carried out again as before during the post-pandemic period. This is indicated by the lifting of restrictions on crowd activities.
