THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TECHNICAL SKILL AND INDUSTRIAL WORK PRACTICE EXPERIENCE ON TECHNOPRENEURSHIP READINESS IN THE SOCIETY 5.0 ERA AMONG AUDIO VIDEO ENGINEERING STUDENTS IN SURABAYA
The Society 5.0 era demands integration between technology and human life, making technopreneurship readiness a crucial aspect for vocational high school students in facing challenges and creating opportunities in a technology-based workforce. This study aims to analyze the relationship between technical skills and industrial work practice experience on technopreneurship readiness in the Society 5.0 era among vocational high school students majoring in Audio Video Engineering in Surabaya. Society 5.0 is a period where technology and human life are deeply integrated, making technopreneurship readiness essential for students to adapt and create opportunities in technology-based businesses.
This research employs a quantitative approach with correlation analysis techniques. The population comprises all Audio Video Engineering students from vocational high schools across Surabaya, with a sample of 68 students determined using the Slovin formula.
The instrument was validated by three experts, consisting of a lecturer from the Electrical Engineering Education program, a teacher from SMKN 3 Surabaya, and a teacher from SMKN 7 Surabaya, resulting in an average score of 95.1%, categorized as highly valid. The analysis of student questionnaire data shows that technical skills contribute 30,47% effectively to technopreneurship readiness, industrial work practice experience contributes 42,51%, and both variables together contribute 38,5% effectively. These findings indicate a positive influence between the independent variables and technopreneurship readiness. This research is expected to serve as a reference for curriculum development, enhancement of teaching strategies, and strengthening collaboration between schools and the industry to cultivate competent and innovative young technopreneurs.
