STRATEGI PENINGKATAN MUTU SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN
(Studi Multi Kasus SMK di Kabupaten Ponorogo)
Strategy for Improving the Quality of Vocational High Schools (Multi Case Study of Vocational Schools in Ponorogo Regency)
ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis strategi sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu di SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo dan SMKN 1 Jenangan Ponorogo. Strategi sekolah ditinjau dari program khas sekolah, SKL dan kerjasama alumni. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancanan penelitian studi multi kasus.
Hasil penelitian terkait strategi sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu di SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo dan SMKN 1 Jenangan Ponrogo menunjukkan bahwa kedua sekolah memiliki persamaan dan perbedaan strategi. SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo meningkatkan mutu sekolah dengan cara , 1) Collaboration Teaching, 2) Character Building, 3) Kerjasama IDUKA, dan 4) Program Kerjasama Alumni. Adapun peningkatan mutu SMKN 1 Jenangan yaitu, 1) Teaching Factory, 2) Optimalisasi Sarana dan Prasarana sekolah, 3) Kerjasama IDUKA, dan 4) Program Kerjasama Alumni. SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo dan SMKN 1 Jenangan Ponorogo memiliki karakter tersendiri dalam strategi peningkatan mutu sekolah. Strategi dari kedua sekolah memiliki kebermanfaatan antara lain, 1) Bagi Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Timur dapat melaksanakan program Collaboration Teacher dan Teacher Factory bagi SMK, 2) Bagi Civitas Akademika Sekolah dapat mengoptimalkan kemampuan siswa dan meningkatkan peluang siswa SMK dalam dunia kerja.

This research aims to describe and analyze school strategies for improving quality at SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo and SMKN 1 Jenangan Ponorogo. The school's strategy is reviewed from the school's typical programs, SKL and alumni collaboration. This research uses a qualitative approach with a multi-case study research plan.
The results of research related to school strategies in improving quality at SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo and SMKN 1 Jenangan Ponrogo show that the two schools have similarities and differences in strategies. SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo improves school quality by, 1) Collaboration Teaching, 2) Character Building, 3) IDUKA Collaboration, and 4) Alumni Collaboration Program. As for improving the quality of SMKN 1 Jenangan, namely, 1) Teaching Factory, 2) Optimization of school facilities and infrastructure, 3) IDUKA Collaboration, and 4) Alumni Collaboration Program. SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo and SMKN 1 Jenangan Ponorogo have their own characteristics in the strategy to improve school quality. The strategies of the two schools have benefits, including: 1) For the East Java Provincial Education Office, they can implement the Collaboration Teacher and Teacher Factory programs for vocational school, 2) For the academic community, the school can optimize student abilities and increase opportunities for vocational school students in the world of work.
