ABSTRAK

Pasang Surut Ekonomi Nelayan di Kecamatan Brondong Kabupaten Lamongan Tahun 1987-1998

Kecamatan Brondong Kabupaten Lamongan menjadi salah satu daerah yang kaya akan potensial laut dan dapat menjadi sumber kesejahteraan masyarakat disekitarnya. Tetapi, pada sektor perekonomian di Kecamatan Brondong tahun 1987-1998 tepatnya pada masa Orde Baru di Indonesia mengalami pasang surut, yaitu dipengaruhi oleh adanya krisis moneter yang melanda indonesia. Penelitian ini menganalisis terjadinya pasang surut ekonomi nelayan di Kecamatan Brondong Kabupaten Lamongan. Sehingga, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana perubahan perekonomian nelayan sebelum hingga masa reformasi tahun 1998. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah. Yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: heuristik, kritik, intrerpretasi, dan historiografi. Terdapat pula yang dalam penelitian ini adalah melakukan pencarian  dengan sumber primer dan sekunder. Pada sumber primer dalam penelitian menggunakan arsip dokumen dari Badan Statistik Kabupaten Lamongan dan Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Lamongan. Pada sumber sekunder menggunakan sumber penelitian terdahulu yang berupa arikel, buku, skripsi dll. Sedangkan untuk wawancara melakukannya dengan masyarakat nelayan daerah Brondong dan ketua Rukun Nelayan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terjadi naik turunnya perekonomian nelayan pada tahun 1987-1998 di Kecamatan Brondong yang dipengaruhi oleh adanya faktor internal nelayan seperti ketersediaan sumber daya alam dan operasional, serta faktor eksternal dari adanya konflik sosial antara TPI dan krisis ekonomi.

ABSTRACT

The Ups and Downs of The Fishermen's Economy in Brondong District, Lamongan Regency, 1987-1998

Brondong District, Lamongan Regency is one of the areas that is rich in marine potential and can be a source of welfare for the surrounding community. However, in the economic sector in Brondong District in 1987-1998, precisely during the New Order era in Indonesia, it experienced ups and downs, which was influenced by the monetary crisis that hit Indonesia. This study analyzes the economic ups and downs of fishermen in Brondong District, Lamongan Regency. Thus, the purpose of this research is to see how the changes in the fishermen's economy before the reform period in 1998. The research method applied in this research is the historical research method. Which consists of four stages, namely: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. There are also those in this research is to do a search with primary and secondary sources. The primary sources in this study used archived documents from the Lamongan Regency Statistics Agency and the Lamongan District Fisheries Service. The secondary sources use previous research sources in the form of articles, books, thesis, etc. Meanwhile, the interview was conducted with the fishing community in the Brondong area and the head of the Fishermen Association. The results of this study are the ups and downs of the fishermen's economy in 1987-1998 in Brondong District which were influenced by the internal factors of fishermen such as the availability of natural and operational resources, as well as external factors from the social conflict between TPI and the economic crisis.
