EFEKTIVITAS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BRADeR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH PESERTA DIDIK SMA PADA MATERI GELOMBANG BUNYI
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE BRADER LEARNING MODEL IN ENHANCING PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS AMONG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE STUDY OF SOUND WAVES
Penelitian true eksperimen ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model BRADeR (Brainstorming, Reading, Analyzing, Decision Making, dan Reflecting), mendeskripsikan respons peserta didik setelah diterapkan pembelajaran dengan model BRADeR, dan mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran BRADeR untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik SMA. Penelitian ini melibatkan responden berjumlah 40 peserta didik yang terbagi dalam 2 kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, peserta didik diberikan pretest sebelum pelaksanaan pembelajaran, setelah itu diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran BRADeR pada kelas eksperimen dan pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) pada kelas kontrol, lalu peserta didik diberikan posttest di akhir pembelajaran. Observasi keterlaksanaan dilakukan selama pembelajaran berlangsung, kegiatan pembelajaran diakhiri dengan aktivitas peserta didik mengisi angket respons terhadap model pembelajaran BRADeR. Hasil skor pretest dan posttest menjadi cikal bakal data penelitian peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, data tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan N-gain dan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: a) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model BRADeR terlaksana dengan rerata 3,75 dan masuk dalam kategori sangat baik; b) respons peserta didik menghasilkan persentase sebesar 75,78% terhadap pelaksanaan model BRADeR, menunjukkan respons positif serta dikategorikan baik; serta c) model pembelajaran BRADeR dan PBL menghasilkan rerata N-gain masing-masing 0,49 dan 0,42; tetapi secara statistik tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran BRADeR efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik SMA di samping model pembelajaran PBL.

This true experimental study aims to describe the implementation of learning using the BRADeR model (Brainstorming, Reading, Analyzing, Decision Making, and Reflecting), describe the responses of students after the BRADeR model was applied, and describe the effectiveness of the BRADeR learning model in improving the problem-solving skills of high school students. This study involved 40 students divided into two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. To determine the improvement in problem-solving skills, students were given a pretest before the learning process, followed by the BRADeR learning model in the experimental class and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in the control class, and then students were given a posttest at the end of the learning process. Observations of the implementation were conducted during the learning process, and the learning activities concluded with students filling out a questionnaire regarding their responses to the BRADeR learning model. The pretest and posttest scores served as the basis for the research data on problem-solving skill improvement, which was then analyzed using N-gain and t-tests. The research results showed that: a) the implementation of the BRADeR learning model was carried out with an average score of 3.75 and was categorized as very good; b) student responses yielded a percentage of 75.78% toward the implementation of the BRADeR model, indicating positive responses and categorized as good; and c) the BRADeR and PBL learning models yielded average N-gain scores of 0.49 and 0.42, respectively; however, there was no statistically significant difference. Based on the above results, it can be concluded that the BRADeR learning model is effective in improving the problem-solving skills of high school students alongside the PBL learning model.
