Semakin berkembangnya zaman bentuk buku tidak lagi berbentuk cetak, tetapi bentuk buku dapat dibuat elektronik. Buku elektronik mudah diakses dan dapat dibaca kapan saja dan dimana saja. Dari hal tersebut, peneliti tertarik untuk mengembangkan e-book. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa e-book matematika pada materi persamaan garis lurus yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Penelitian menggunakan aplikasi Flip PDF Profesional versi 2.4.9.32. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan dari e-book sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar yang dapat melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi persamaan garis lurus.
Hasil uji validitas e-book matematika memperoleh persentase 97,85% dari validator praktisi dan 90% dari validator ahli. Hasil uji kepraktisan e-book memperoleh persentase 78,88% dengan kategori baik yang dilakukan oleh 12 siswa. Kemudian uji keefektifan dari 12 siswa kelas IX SMP swasta di Sidoarjo yang sudah mempelajari materi persamaan garis lurus sebelumnya. Dari e-book yang dikembangkan diperoleh nilai postest lebih besar dari nilai pretest untuk semua siswa . Setelah diuji cobakan kepada siswa didapatkan bahwa kelebihan dari e-book yang dikembangkan ialah terdapat animasi yang menarik yang dapat membantu siswa lebih memahami materi persamaan garis lurus, selain itu terdapat unsur interaktif dengan adanya animasi yang mendampingi sehingga belajar pada e-book tidak terkesan sendirian. Selain itu, hasil akhir e-book yang dikembangkan berupa link dan tidak perlu mengunduh aplikasi tertentu sehingga lebih praktis. Kekurangan dari e-book yang dikembangkan ialah soal-soal untuk melatih berpikir kritis perlu lebih dikembangkan, selain itu tampilan dari e-book juga masih cenderung monoton.

In this development era, some books are not only made in printed books, but also electronically. Electronic books are easily accessible and can be read at any time and anywhere. Therefore, the researcher was interested in conducting research about developing an e-book. The objective of this research is to produce a teaching material in a mathematics e-book about equation of a straight line that can improve students’ critical thinking skills. This research used the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model, and the Flip PDF Professional application version 2.4.9.32. The aim of this research is to analyze the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the e-book that can be used as an alternative teaching material that can train students’ critical thinking skills on equation of a straight line material.
The results of the validity test of the mathematics e-book has 97.85% from the practical validator and 90% from the expert validator. The results of the practicality test got 78.88%, which was considered as a good category carried out by 12 students. Then, the effectiveness test was conducted by involving 12 students at the ninth-grade of Private Junior High School in Sidoarjo who had studied equation of a straight line previously. The results of the test showed that score of post-test is more than score of pre-test for all student. After being tested on students, it was found that there were some advantages of the developed e-book, such as there were interesting animations that could help students understand the equation of a straight line material better, and also, there were interactive elements in the animations that could accompany students while learning using the e-book, so students would not feel alone. In addition, the final result of the developed e-book was created in a link, so students did not need to download certain applications, which was more effective. There were also some drawbacks of the developed e-book, such as the questions used were still lacking in improving students’ critical thinking skills, and also, the appearance of the e-book tends to be monotonous.
