PENGGUNAAN MEDIA ANIMAL COUNTING BOX TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERHITUNG PENJUMLAHAN ANAK TUNAGRAHITA

USE OF  ANIMAL COUNTING BOX MEDIA  ON CALCULATION ABILITY OF THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN WITH DELAY

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penggunaan media animal counting box terhadap kemampuan berhitung penjumlahan anak tunagrahita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan pendekatan Action Research. Analisis data yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menyelesaikan masalah. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi adanya peningkatan nilai pada kemampuan berhitung penjumlahan anak tunagrahita setelah diberikannya media animal counting box. Pada literatur dengan jenis penelitian Action Research di siklus I menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 46,11% dan pada siklus II menjadi 87,43%, Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media animal counting box dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung penjumlahan pada anak tunagrahita.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of animal counting box media on the ability to count the sum of mentally retarded children. The research method used is a literature review with an Action Research approach. Data analysis was carried out with a quantitative approach to solve the problem. The results of data analysis showed that there was an increase in the value of the numeracy ability of mentally retarded children after being given the animal counting box media. In the literature with the type of Action Research research in the first cycle, the average value is 46.11% and in the second cycle it is 87.43%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the animal counting box media can increase the ability to count additions in mentally retarded children.
