MAKNA DUNIA DAN KEHIDUPAN DALAM PUISI-PUISI KARYA FRIEDRICH SCHILLER MELALUI KAJIAN HEURISTIK

THE MEANING OF THE WORLD AND LIFE IN FRIEDRICH SCHILLER'S POEMS THROUGH HEURISTIC STUDY

Penelitian ini berfokus pada eksplorasi makna heuristik dalam puisi-puisi karya Friedrich Schiller. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan heuristik yang dikembangkan oleh Michael Riffaterre. Data penelitian dianalisis melalui pendekatan heuristik terhadap lima puisi Schiller, yaitu “An die Freude,” “An die Freunde,” “An die Parzen,” “Berglied,” dan “Hoffnung.” Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap puisi mengandung makna mendalam terkait tema universal dunia dan kehidupan manusia. Misalnya, “An die Freude” merayakan kebahagiaan universal, “Hoffnung” menggarisbawahi kekuatan harapan, “An die Parzen” menyoroti refleksi tentang nasib, “An die Freunde” mengangkat tema persahabatan, dan “Berglied” menekankan hubungan manusia dengan alam. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai relevansi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dalam puisi Schiller, serta menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan heuristik dalam mengungkap lapisan makna di dalamnya.

This study explores the heuristic dimension in the poems of Friedrich Schiller. It employs a qualitative descriptive method with a heuristic approach as developed by Michael Riffaterre. The data were analyzed using heuristic approaches on five of Schiller’s poems: “An die Freude” (Ode to Joy), “An die Freunde” (To Friends), “An die Parzen” (*To the Fates*), “Berglied” (Mountain Song), and “Hoffnung” (Hope). The findings reveal that each poem embodies profound meanings related to universal themes of the world and human life. For instance, “An die Freude” celebrates universal joy, “Hoffnung” emphasizes the power of hope, “An die Parzen” reflects on destiny, “An die Freunde” highlights friendship, and “Berglied” underscores the connection between humans and nature. This study enriches the understanding of the humanistic values in Schiller’s poetry while underscoring the significance of heuristic approach in uncovering the layers of meaning within his works.
