Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan, kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan buku suplemen untuk keterampilan membaca teks narasi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE dengan lima tahapan yaitu : 1) Analyze, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, 5) Evaluation . Teknik pengumpulan data dengan validasi, observasi, angket, dan tes. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan model ADDIE didapatkan kevalidan buku suplemen berdasarkan hasil validasi media mencapai 96% dan hasil validasi materi mencapai 86% Kepraktisan buku suplemen berdasarkan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada uji coba skala kecil mencapai 85% dan uji coba skala besar mecapai 87%. Keefektifan berdasarkan hasil angket siswa mencapai 94%, hasil angket guru mencapai 95% dan hasil tes pada uji coba skala kecil diperoleh thitung 6,33 > ttabel 2,262 dan uji coba skala besar diperoleh thitung 14,46 > ttabel 2,042 atau dapat dikatakan peningkatan siginifikan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa buku suplemen layak untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of developing, validating, practicing, and effectiveness of supplementary books for the reading skills of narrative text of fifth grade elementary school students. This study uses the ADDIE model with five stages, namely: 1) Analyze, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, 5) Evaluation. Data collection techniques with validation, observation, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the study using the ADDIE model obtained the validity of supplementary books based on the results of media validation reached 96% and the results of the validation of the material reached 86% The practicality of supplementary books based on the implementation of learning in small-scale trials reached 85% and large-scale trials reached 87%. Effectiveness based on student questionnaire results reached 94%, teacher questionnaire results reached 95% and the test results on small-scale trials obtained tcount 6.33> ttable 2.262 and large-scale trials obtained tcount 14.46> ttable 2.042 or can be said to be significant improvement. The results show that supplement books are suitable for use in learning activities.
