Corporate Social and Responbility (CSR) merupakan suatu kewajiban yang harus diberikan oleh perusahaan kepada masyarakat. Studi ini ingin menjelaskan tentang fenomena resistensi masyarakat Desa Wadung ring 1 terhadap PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar Desa Wadung merupakan desa yang terletak di sebelah perusahaan PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. . Desa Wadung termasuk Desa  pemangku kepentingan (stake holder) bagi PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. Mayoritas masyarakat Desa Wadung merupakan petani. Para petani dan warga desa wadung melakukan perlawanan dan penolakan terhadap CSR PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. Dalam mengkaji fenomena resistensi ini, peneliti ingin mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk resistensi dan menjelaskan kronologi fenomena resistensi masyarakat Desa Wadung terhadap PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. Peneliti menggunakan teori bentuk-bentuk resistensi James C. Scott dalam mengkaji fenomena resistensi  masyarakat Desa Wadung terhadap PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan grounded research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subyek penelitian melakukan resistensi terbuka dengan cara demonstrasi, mogok kerja, menunjukkan tulisan perlawanan dan orasi, pengumpulan tanda tangan penolakan dan mediasi. Subyek penelitian juga melakukan resistensi tertutup dengan forum kecil perlawanan atau rasan-rasan. Resistensi terbuka terjadi hampir setiap tahun mulai dari tahun 2010 hingga 2019 di Desa Wadung kepada perusahaan. Resistensi terbuka dan tertutup yang terjadi sesuai dengan ciri-ciri resistensi Scott. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa resistensi disebabkan atas dampak yang ditimbulkan dan pengelolaan CSR yang kurang optimal oleh PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar.

This study wants to explain about the phenomenon of community resistance in the village of Wadung ring 1 against PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. Wadung Village is a village located next to the company PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. Wadung Village is a stakeholder of PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. The majority of the people of Wadung Village are farmers. . The farmers and villagers of Wadung resisted and opposed the CSR of PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. In studying this phenomenon of resistance, researchers want to prove the forms of resistance and explain the chronology of the phenomenon of resistance in the Wadung Village community towards PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. Researchers used the theory of resistance forms of James C. Scott in studying the phenomenon of resistance in the Wadung Village community to PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar. This study uses qualitative research methods with a research foundation. The results showed that the research subjects conducted open resistance with demonstrations, strikes, showed resistance writings and orations, overcame signatures of conflict and mediation. Research subjects also carry out closed resistance with a small forum of resistance or rasan-rasan. Open resistance occurred in Wadung Village towards the company almost every year from 2010 to 2019. Open Resistance and Closed Resistance is in accordance with Scott's Theory. The researcher concludes that resistance occurs due to the impact of PT. PJB UBJOM PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar.
