PERANCANGAN PUZZLE BOARD GAME TENTANG METAMORFOSIS SERANGGA UNTUK ANAK KELAS 3 SD
PUZZLE BOARD GAME DESIGN ABOUT INSECT METAMORPHOSIS FOR 3rd CLASS SD CHILDREN
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa puzzle board game yang mengajarkan konsep metamorfosis serangga kepada siswa kelas 3 Sekolah Dasar (SD). Media ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang siklus hidup serangga, khususnya kupu-kupu dan capung, melalui pendekatan yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Metode 5W+1H untuk mengolah data yang sudah didapat pada tahap analisis, kebutuhan siswa dan kurikulum dipelajari untuk memastikan kesesuaian materi. Tahap desain melibatkan pembuatan konsep permainan, termasuk mekanisme permainan, aturan, dan visualisasi metamorfosis serangga dalam bentuk puzzle. Pengembangan media dilakukan dengan pembuatan prototipe permainan yang kemudian diujicobakan di kelas 3 SD. Implementasi melibatkan penggunaan permainan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mengamati respons dan pemahaman siswa. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui tes pemahaman dan observasi aktivitas siswa selama bermain.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media puzzle board game ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang metamorfosis serangga. Siswa menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dalam bermain dan belajar, serta mampu mengidentifikasi tahapan-tahapan metamorfosis dengan baik. Selain itu, permainan ini juga mendukung pengembangan keterampilan motorik halus, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan kerja sama antar siswa. Kesimpulannya, media puzzle board game tentang metamorfosis serangga ini merupakan alat pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif untuk kelas 3 SD. Dengan menggabungkan elemen edukatif dan permainan, media ini berhasil menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan bermakna bagi siswa.

This research aims to develop learning media in the form of a puzzle board game that teaches the concept of insect metamorphosis to grade 3 elementary school (SD) students. This media is designed to increase students' understanding of the life cycle of insects, especially butterflies and dragonflies, through an interactive and fun approach.
The 5W1H method is to process data that has been obtained at the analysis stage, student needs and the curriculum are studied to ensure the suitability of the material. The design stage involves creating a game concept, including game mechanics, rules, and visualization of insect metamorphosis in the form of a puzzle. Media development was carried out by making game prototypes which were then tested in 3rd grade elementary school. Implementation involves the use of games in the learning process to observe student responses and understanding. Evaluation is carried out through comprehension tests and observation of student activities while playing.
The research results show that this puzzle board game media is effective in increasing students' understanding of insect metamorphosis. Students show high enthusiasm in playing and learning, and are able to identify the stages of metamorphosis well. Apart from that, this game also supports the development of fine motor skills, critical thinking abilities, and cooperation between students.
In conclusion, this puzzle board game media about insect metamorphosis is an innovative and effective learning tool for grade 3 elementary school. By combining educational and game elements, this media succeeds in creating a more interesting and meaningful learning experience for students.
