Pengaruh Pendekatan Open Ended Play Dalam Menstimulasi Kemampuan Problem Solving Anak Usia Dini
The Effect of Open Ended Play Approach in Stimulating Early Childhood Problem Solving Ability
Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini kemampuan problem solving
anak masih relatif rendah dan proses pembelajaran belum
menstimulus kemampuan problem solving anak. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan problem
solving anak sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya pendekatan open
ended play. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah
metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain Nonequivalent
Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelompok B
pada kelas B1 dan B2 TK Dharmawanita Persatuan Bohar Sidoarjo
yang berjumlah 32 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam
penelitian ini adalah observasi dan unjuk kerja. Analisis data
menggunakan uji independent sample t test. Hasil analisis data
menunjukkan bahwa sig(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0.05 pada pretest
dan postest kelompok eksperimen, maka dapat disimpulkan
bahwa pendekatan open ended play berpengaruh terhadap
kemampuan problem solving anak usia dini. Hal ini berarti
penggunaan pendekatan open ended play dapat membantu
menstimulus kemampuan problem solving anak usia dini.
Children's problem solving skills in the learning process have
not provided stimulus through the right approach. In education, the right
approach will provide a good stimulus for children to improve problem
solving skills. This study aims to determine the effect of children's
problem solving skills before and after the application of the open ended
play approach. The method used in this research is quantitative method
using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample of this study
was group B in classes B1 and B2 of Dharmawanita Persatuan Bohar
Kindergarten Sidoarjo, totalling 32 children. Data collection techniques
in this study were observation and performance. Data analysis using
independent sample test. The results of data analysis showed that sig (2-
tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 in the pretest and posttest of the experimental
group, it can be concluded that the open ended play approach has an effect
on early childhood problem solving skills. This means that the use of an
open ended play approach can help stimulate early childhood problem
solving skills.
