This study aims to develop appropriate
learning tools with Problem Based Learning model integrated with STEM to
improve students' critical thinking skills and self efficacy in colloid
material. The products developed are based on learning tools including
syllabus, lesson plans, textbooks, worksheets, and research instruments. The
research method refers to the 4D model, namely define, design, develop, and
disseminate. Data collection was carried out through validation, observation,
tests, and questionnaires in three classes, each class consisting of 35
students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative and
qualitative. The results of the research findings show that: (1) the validity
of the learning tools gets mode 4 with a very valid category, (2) the
practicality of the learning device is stated to be practical in terms of
observing the implementation of lesson plans which can be categorized as very
well implemented in all three classes, relevant student activities are greater
than those that are not relevant in the three classes, and the obstacles
encountered during PBL integrated with STEM learning process will be input for
further research. (3) the effectiveness of learning tools was stated to be
effective in terms of knowledge learning outcomes, critical thinking skills
learning outcomes, and students' self efficacy questionnaire results which as a
whole experienced a high increase, the results of this study showed that there
was no difference in the n-gain value of critical thinking skills in the third
grade so that it was considered consistent for improving students' critical
thinking skills, b esides that, the results of this study also show
that critical thinking skills and self efficacy have a positive correlation
with a strong correlation level, and student responses show very good
categories. Based on
these results, it can be concluded that PBL integrated with STEM learning tools
are feasible to use to improve students' critical thinking skills and self efficacy.
