PENGEMBANGAN PANDUAN PROGRAM TOILET TRAINING ANAK AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD) BAGI ORANG TUA
DEVELOPMENT OF TOILET TRAINING PROGRAM GUIDELINES FOR AUTISM SPECTRUM CHILDREN DISORDER (ASD) FOR PARENTS
Pengetahuan orang tua tentang toilet training pada anak Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) yang masihkurang, menjadi kendala dalam mempengaruhi dan menentukan perkembangan anak pada masa selanjutnya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan panduan program toilet training khusus bagi orang tua anakdengan ASD. Pendekatan pengembangan panduan ini dilakukan secara langsung, yaitu anak diajarkan tentanglangkah-langkah toilet training dengan mempraktekannya secara langsung. Panduan program ini dirancang denganmempertimbangkan karakteristik khusus anak dengan ASD, seperti kecenderungan terhadap rutinitas, sensitivitassensorik, dan kesulitan dalam beradaptasi dengan perubahan. Dengan adanya program ini dapat membantumempermudah orang tua dalam meningkatkan kemandirian serta kedisiplinan anak saat buang air sesuai jadwal.Panduan program ini menggunakan metode pengembangan model Thiagarajan, dimana hanya menggunakan 3tahap yaitu define, design, dan develop. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari validasi ahli materi dan validasi ahlimedia dengan menggunakan instrumen penilaian angket tertutup. Skala penilaian menunjukkan tingkat kelayakanproduk. Hasil validasi ahli meateri menunjukkan kriteria penilaian 3 “SETUJU”, validasi ahli media menunjukkankriteria penilaian yang berbeda, namun memenuhi kriteria kelyakan, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwapengembangan panduan program toilet training anak autism spectrum disorder agi orang tua layak digunakansebagai sarana orang tua.

The low knowledge of parents about toilet training in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) isan obstacle in influencing and determining the development of children in the future. This study aims to developguidelines for specific toilet training programs for parents of children with ASD. The approach to developing thisguide is done directly, in which children are taught about the steps of toilet training by practicing them directly.This program guide was designed taking into account the special characteristics of children with ASD, such as atendency to routine, sensory sensitivity, and difficulty adapting to change. With this program, it can help make iteasier for parents to increase their child's independence and discipline when defecating on schedule. This programguide uses the Thiagarajan model development method, which only uses 3 stages, namely define, design, anddevelop. The research data were obtained from the validation of material experts and media expert validationusing a closed questionnaire assessment instrument. The rating scale shows the level of product feasibility. Theresults of the validation by the meatery expert showed the 3rd assessment criterion “AGREE”, the media expertvalidation showed different assessment criteria, but met the eligibility criteria, so it can be concluded that thedevelopment of a toilet training program guide for children with autism spectrum disorder for parents isappropriate to be used as a means for parents.
